babies, babies and you guessed it, more babies

A few months back I was lucky enough to connect with a great group of new moms. All of our little ones are only weeks apart so obviously it is been amazing to be able to go through some of the challenges and trials of being a new mom with others who are going through the exact same thing, but it has also been amazing to share the many joys and exciting moments as our little ones grow and change so fast. I have come to adore all of the women in my group and our weekly gatherings are very much needed to keep my head on straight sometimes. So today was my day to give back and use my skills to photograph each of the unique and wonderful babies in the group. I had so much fun! Some showed their serious side, some their silly side, but all were amazing to see on their own and I really hope the moms are happy with the results. :)

May 15, 2010... Purdy & Daniel

Admittedly it is way past my bedtime (seeing as my little girl will have me up in a few short hours) but I just HAD to get Purdy and Daniel's teaser pics and slide show posted!! Their wedding this past weekend was a dream and the happiness experienced throughout the day was absolutely contagious. And these two are a perfect match to boot with just the right amount of goofiness and seriousness. I LOVED photographing them and their entire wedding party and really felt blessed to be included in their special day. I could go on and on but my eyes are getting droopy and I really just want to show off some pics of the newlyweds. ;)

kristen & raymond plus 2

I was so excited when Kristen contacted me a few months back about photographing their new little ones while visiting Vancouver. Kristen and Ray were blessed with not one, but two babies back in December and although since their arrival life has been a whirlwind of activity, these new parents definitely have it all together. I had so much fun meeting the new family and wish them all the best of luck with their big move to Tunisia.

I love when couples are willing to go "out of the box" so to speak and have a session in a seemingly strange location. Front Street is definitely not well known as a prime photo location but I think it is amazing with all of the different colours and textures and the fact that no one is around. And the fact that we found a few random chairs on the street just made it even more awesome and the fact that Alexis and Colin were willing to use the chairs made it even better! They did an amazing job during their session and I love love love the results!

miranda & chris

No matter what Miranda and Chris say, I think they look HOT! They have the perfect mix of silliness, quirkiness (if that is even a word) and romance and their love for one another truly does show. I was so excited for the opportunity to finally get together with these two for their e session at Campbell Valley Park. Since Miranda knows I shoot there often I really had my work cut out for me finding new and interesting spots to use and I LOVE the results. Even if I tortured them just a bit. ;) I have known Miranda for awhile now and know how into photography she is, so was obviously super excited when she announced her engagement to the handsome Chris, let alone ask me to photograph her big day. I can only hope I make them proud and not get to teary as they say their vows. Anyways... back to the e session... here are a few favs.

vanessa & garrette

You know wedding season is almost in full swing when my schedule is jammed with e session after e session! I love the opportunity to reconnect with clients I haven't seen in ages and find out about how all of the wedding plans are coming along. I first met Vanessa and Garrette back in September and knew right away that they were just two of the sweetest and most loving people. They were sooooo utterly sweet to one another during our session! Like many couples this was their first real photo shoot together as a couple and they did an amazing job. I can't wait for their big day coming up in just a few months! Here are a few teasers from our session...

April 24, 2010... Colleen & Caleb

Colleen and Caleb's wedding is truly one to appreciate for so many reasons. For one they are a gorgeous couple and therefore very easy to photograph. Caleb was looking super handsome from the moment I arrived and was diligently marking off all of the to-do items on the list left for him by his bride. Colleen looked equally stunning (while still in her sweats too) and was just aching to get into her gown all morning. I couldn't blame her though as it was a stunning dress. Another reason I loved their big day was the wedding party. I adore when the friends and family of the bride and groom are as excited about everything as they are. This group not only made the day extra fun but were super organized which made the bride and groom's life a lot easier. I also really (really) appreciate that even though it was raining for some of the photo session and even though it was really cold, no one complained (until the rain started to come down sideways - then it was inevitable that we all did a bit of groaning). All in all, it was an awesome day with awesome results. Thank you to Colleen and Caleb for being so fabulous!

I LOVE Rebecca and Joel! Not only are they a ton of fun to be around but man do they know how to look hot in front of the camera.
